I am at once impressed and amused that Google Maps now has a parcel layer. I noticed it today when I was trying to find the location of the pizza joints in the area. Cool beans. Also, how on earth did they manage to jump the legal hurdles to get it? Getting parcel data has been an ongoing issue in my job. The experience really varies from county to county. Some counties are more than willing to share the data, and others seem to think that they can keep it locked up and extort interested parties for obscene amounts of money. I like working with the nice counties a lot more. Counties that have no parcel data (often because they can't afford the costs involved in making it) make me sad. Here's a run down so I remember.... Found presenter for November Screwup (Fivestar) Confirmed location and date of November Screwup (Wicked Grounds, Nov 14, 7-9) Learned to do basic DVD authoring. Authored and Re-authored both Feature and bonus discs of Couch Surfers 2 Presented a staff 90 day review. Helped organize Original Plumbing release party. Purchased tickets for CT trip in Dec. Organized all genders party on Saturday. Left to do... attend International Sir/boy tonight and tomorrow. make sure halloween party goes smoothly. make thanksgiving reservations for River Bear and me. Collect last element of Couch Surfers 2 for our replication package. I think this bleeds into November a bit, but all should be done by Wed. Then we change some prices at work, Trannyfest Nov 5-7 has a Trannywood scene screening on Nov 7, have an art reception (Nov. 10), Buzzcuts fundraiser and Screwup on Nov. 14, and our annual member appreciation (free) day on Thanksgiving...and hopefully get the DVDs back.
